Podcasting is HUGE right now and there is no escaping that fact.
Since January 2014 I have started the House of #EdTech podcast and the Education Podcast Network. I’ve told my complete story about my reasons for getting into the podcast world and ultimately Why and How I Started a Podcast Network.
I sincerely could not be happier with the decision I made to move from content curator to content creator. I’ve been presenting on this very theme of creating vs. curating during the 2014-2015 school year and now my passion presentation is all about creating podcasts.
I’ve had a number of people in the last 18 months ask me about how they could get into podcasting for themselves. Some of these inquiries have been related to education and others have been related to personal passions and interests.
Ultimately, I subscribe to the JUST HIT RECORD theory of getting into podcast creation.
I have taken countless hours of time to learn all I can from some of the biggest names in podcasting. Cliff Ravenscraft, Daniel J. Lewis, Dave Jackson, Ray Ortega, and Dan Benjamin. Each of these gentlemen produce podcasts about podcasting (yes they exist!). Their podcasts are:
- Podcast Answer Man
- The Audacity to Podcast
- School of Podcasting: Morning Announcements
- The Podcasters’ Studio
- Podcasters’ Round Table
- The Podcast Method
These are great FREE resources that cover podcasting from soup to nuts! The knowledge and experience of these podcasters is remarkable and they have decades of combined experience creating valuable content.
Since you’re reading you must be interested in starting a podcast of your own. I would like to recommend the following resource to help you get started on your adventures into podcasting:
