My @BammyAwards Nomination | #talkshowhost #HouseofEdTech

Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined being nominated for a Bammy! Award.
Last Fall I was sitting in my living room watching the awards on my laptop and thinking how great is it that there is an event like this to celebrate education and so many fantastic educators who are changing the education landscape. There was a red carpet, well-dressed professionals, entertainment, and positive exposure for the education profession.
I would be lying if I did not admit that I thought it would be cool to attend an event like this and even cooler to win an award like a Bammy! At the time I never thought that would be possible for me.
Fast forward to now and I have in fact been nominated for a Bammy! Award. I have been nominated in the category of Talk Show Host for the House of #EdTech podcast (available on iTunes and Stitcher)!
I did not start the podcast to garner any recognition or admiration. I started the House of #EdTech podcast because I wanted to share my thoughts and views on education and technology integration as well as give people who are doing some great work with technology in their schools a platform to tell their story and share their knowledge. With so much happening in education this podcast is my way of contributing to the conversation. I grew tired of just being a re-tweeter and wanted to become a content creator rather than a curator.
I do need to thank Superintendent Jay Eitner for thinking enough of me and the podcast for his thoughtful and appreciated nomination. Jay was recently a guest on the podcast which you can listen to here. To see Jay’s nomination on the Bammy! Award please click here.
If you’re a subscriber I would love your support and your vote! If you’re not a subscriber of the House of #EdTech podcast, what are you waiting for!? Get yourself caught up on the first eight episodes 🙂
