In the last month I have had the priviledge of being a part of two broadcasts of TeacherCast.net’s TechEducator Podcast. This video/audio podcast is recorded LIVE on Sunday nights from 7:30-8:30PM (EST). Show producer Jeff Bradbury is a like-minded educator who loves education technology and he also has a passion, like me, for creating content rather than just pushing everyone else.
Being on a live broadcast is unique and quite different from how I produce the House of #EdTech podcast. First and foremost, I edit and re-record anything I do not like, other than my featured content (usually and interview). TechEducator is live, live, live! Jeff does a great job preparing his hosts for the flow of the show and setting up the sequence of the discussion, but once it’s live, you never know what can truly happen.
If you have never tuned in for one of TeacherCast’s shows you need to stop by sometime! The conversation is authentic and the topics are current and relevant to what teacher’s are doing in their classrooms.
In the most recent episode (#53), on May 11, 2014, the topic was Twitter and the variety of uses and value it has to education. My piece of the conversation was about the new Twitter profiles and how the new design can be very useful for educators.
You do not need anything fancy to attend these great quality broadcasts. You just need to make time and be prepared to learn something useful about education, education technology, leadership, and host of other education related topics!
If you enjoy Jeff’s programs let him know! He would definitely appreciate it 🙂
Thanks for reading and sharing!
