I prefer audio clips, as this is a podcast, and you can submit audio. #EdTech Thought & Recommendation

Before school started I decided to remove my school email from my iPAD. I came to the conclusion that I don’t need to read emails from anyone at work after 2:36. I am OK with now checking my school email again the next day when I get to school or I might intentionally check it on my home computer in the evening while I sit here.

Here are four strategies to better manage your email and keep the messages in your inbox to a minimum.

1. Set aside time to read and respond to email.
2. Take action immediately.
3. Organize an inbox with labels, folders, and categories.
4. Unsubscribe from unwanted promotional emails.

  • I’d also like to have them reflect on their work by writing some type of narrative about the work they are including and sharing.
  • I’m not sure I will be grading their portfolios at this stage because I’m not sure what that would look like and my gut tells me that these shouldn’t be assessed on top of the work they are including. What do you think?
